“I believe in making jewelry that is timeless. From minimalist designs and pearls, to one-of-a-kind pieces that evoke a sense of history—my work is designed to form a connection to the wearer and celebrate their individuality.”

About Kate

Kate Speranza is a multidisciplinary artist whose creative interests emerged at an early age, showing a strong desire to explore materials and work with her hands. She seemed to always know that art was her calling. While working at a jewelry boutique in her early 20s, she signed up for a metalsmithing class and upon completing her first ring, she knew this was a path she wanted to pursue. She went on to obtain a BFA with a concentration in Metals from Oregon College of Art & Craft. Now as a full-time artist, she splits her studio time between jewelry, painting, and mixed media art.

Kate works out of her art studio in downtown Astoria, Oregon. She is well known locally for her jewelry using the historic amethyst-colored glass salvaged from Astoria’s sidewalks. You can find her most Sundays at her booth at the Astoria Sunday Market that runs from mid-May through mid-October.
